If you’re a student at Mount Royal University, you probably know that your ONECard is more than just a student ID, but do you know how to use yours to its full capabilities? Maybe you’ve used your card to get into certain areas and classrooms or to make purchases at the Cougars Campus Store, but there’s more to it to fully use yours.

Where to Use Your ONECard

ONECards can be used all across campus for a variety of reasons. In the library, you might use your card to take out books or other materials, access group rooms, or use the printers. Over in the Recreation Centre, a ONECard is your ticket to access the fitness facilities, and during exam season, they are a necessity, acting as your official MRU student ID.

Paying With Your ONECard

Making on-campus purchases is a common use for MRU student IDs. The card essentially works as a debit card that can be used at participating vendors once funds are added to its balance. For students with dining plans, use your ONECard to access your funds and pay for meals.

Adding Funds to Your Card

To add to a card’s balance, students have a few different options. Using a fill station kiosk located in the Riddell Library, the ONECard portal online, visiting the front desk in the campus store, or using the Transact eAccounts app on a phone. Friends and family can also gift funds to students’ cards using the same payment methods.
